Insurance delivered on works done on the structure of the building, in french also called "assurance dommage des oeuvres"
When structural building work has been carried out, the owner of the property is expected to take out an insurance that covers his responsability as works manager.
This costs about 10% of all works carried out, and is a guarantee over all the work done by al artisan at the house.
All artisans need to guarantee their work for 10 years. That is why the bills of such work done are passed on to the new owner.
The Assurance domage des Oeuvres pays out and will then o and claim the fault on the artisans 10 year guarantee.
It is also useful if there is a design fault.
Minimum at time of sale the bills and the insurance of these artisans needs to be handed over for structural work younger than 10 years old.
