The nearby castle, inhabited by the same family for over 200 years, is listed as a historic monument which preserves the hamlet from unsightly development.

Only 12 kms to the touristic and historical town of Cluny, also Cormatin and its famous castle on the green-way cycle route from Chalon to Macon, 4 kms to Salornay sur Guye for all shops and services and 2.5 kms to a smaller village with bakery.
